Thanks for this review of the Calf Split editions of the Concord. In the last weeks I quickly bought all the copies of Cambridge Concord and Concord Wide Margin I could get my hands on in the great French Morocco binding. As I assumed the Calf Split is not my cup of tea. I think those pebbly grain is ugly and I miss the glossy finish. I love my old school French Morocco KJB's. Though the new leather version has better bookmarks. Not the rough and stiff old ones, but this finer and softer new ones, like Allan has. This is the only plus I can see over the former French Morocco editions.

Hi Marie. The concordance is 70 pages and has 3 columns per page. It has 56 entries for God. For Lord, it has three different sets of references. Each set gives the Hebrew or Greek word that the list is for, so you get one list for Yahweh, another for Adonay, and another for Kyrios. It includes proper names, with one entry for Caiaphas and even includes Zeus. The entries are not large, but they are very easy to read. I like the layout- it has the entry in bold, then all the references are indented, making it easy to follow.

I was wondering how good the concordance is in this Bible. Is it pretty basic or extensive? I haven't been able to find anywhere that states what the concordance content is.

Hi Paul, how do i clearly explain the fact that father ,son, holy spirit- is all about jesus? does it mean that the Father is Jesus, the son is Jesus and the holu ghost is Jesus? in John 14:6-8 Philip asked Jesus " show us the father and that will be enough for us "and jesus replied so you don't know me all this while he who knows me certainly have seen the father. Is jesus claiming to be the God the Father? and also in jesus said i will asked my father to send the comforter in my name.....the world can''t see him but you know him for he lives with you and he will live in you when he comes.i lead a home cell group and this is becoming tough to explain. kindly help m,e out

@Adam- If you are talking about the experiment that Stanley Miller did, why did he not use oxygen in his experiment? there are oxidized rocks as deep as we can dig, suggesting there was always oxygen in the atmosphere. It seems like he knew oxygen would be detrimental to his experiment so he omitted it. just a thought...

Thanks for the good scholarly work. It's an easier argument all around before the incarnation, to think of the logos as a unity but then God/Man Jesus starts talking to God the Father, loving the Father, Wanting to Please the Father (not his inner self). He raises his eyes to the skies when he prays...to himself? How does that work? I confess that I don't think trinitarian theology does exact justice to what the scriptures say about the person of God whom we should really expect to be much more complex than a 'big man.' A person has a personality and Jesus is talking to someone he perceives to be "up there" and who has a will that might be different than his own. More details please on this. thanks

Hi Christine. I would suggest either the 3G nook or 3G Kindle. This way all she has to do is go to the on-line store from the device itself and it would be wireless. You can't go wrong with either one. They both have plenty of good non KJV Bibles that are on sale sometimes for $3 and some are even free (ESV, HCSB).
