The Book of Revelation 19:1-2

Alleluia

“And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: 2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.” (Rev. 19:1-2 KJV)

This marks the response in heaven to the judgement of the harlot. They rejoice with praise to God. The multitude are those that were redeemed. This includes Old Testament saints, the Church, and Tribulation saints. They praise God for His salvation for them, and judgement for the great whore, and His vengeance for those that she destroyed. She was judged for corrupting the earth and for killing God’s servants.

This is the only chapter in the Bible where the word Alleluia is found. This is the first of four instances. It comes from halleluiah which means praise. This is one of the many verses that shows praise in heaven.
