A Name Written
(Rev. 19:16 KJV) 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and when He comes to the Mount of Olives everyone will know who He is. He’s not coming back as a servant like His first coming. This time He’s coming as the rightful King of the earth and everyone will know it. They won’t be able to deny who He is – the conquering king.
How many King of Kings and Lord of Lords can we have? Is God the most high, the sovereign of all? If Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and if God is sovereign, and if there is only one God, then Jesus is that one God.
(Deut. 10:17 KJV) 17 For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:
(Dan. 2:47 KJV) 47 The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret.
(1 Tim. 6:14-16 KJV) 14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
(Rev. 17:14 KJV) 14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
