The Second Woe
“13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
14 The second woe is past; and , behold, the third woe cometh quickly.”
(Rev 11:13-14 KJV)
Immediately after the two witnesses are raised from the dead and ascend into heaven, there is a great earthquake that will destroy one tenth of the city and will kill 7000 men. The people that are left will be afraid because they will know this is the wrath of God. They will finally give glory to God because of what is happening. This is one of the few mentions in Scripture where anyone turns to God during the Tribulation period. This is the end of the second woe and the third is about to begin.
