Flood
“15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.”
(Rev 12:15-16 KJV)
As Israel escapes into the wilderness Satan casts a flood to destroy them. This is most certainly symbolic of war. Satan will control his antichrist to send his armies after Israel in the wilderness. Whatever Satan sends, God will destroy by opening the earth to swallow the armies. This is most likely an earthquake since there will be great earthquakes during the end time.
Numbers 16:32-33 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.
Rev 12:16 and Numbers 16:32 both say, “And the earth opened her mouth.” In Numbers it is referenced as the pit, therefore it should also be considered that in Rev 12:16 it is also the pit.
In the Greek NT this is referenced by the word “abussos” which the devils in Luke 8:31 begged not to be cast into (there it is called “the deep” in the KJV. Which they had been expecting since Ezekiel and others had prophesied these things would happen to them:
“They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas.” Ezekiel 28:8
A brief study of these things as I’ve spoken will reveal these things must happen before Christ’s final rule:
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth. And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited. (Isaiah 24:21-22; KJV)
The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. (Psalms 110:1; KJV)
Rev 12:16 is referencing the event of all the devils of the dragon that will precede him into the pit.
There is much more to this and I implore the reader to pray about this event as it is important that we know and understand everything the word declares for us that we can be ready to serve in any capacity the Lord desires.
May the Lord bless and keep you all,
