The Harvest of the Earth
“14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.”
(Rev 14:14-16 KJV)
This is the scene in heaven just before the Second Coming of Christ and the Battle of Armageddon. The phrase ‘Son of Man’ often refers to Jesus in his human role, so this is most likely Jesus. The harvest is the judgment against those that have rejected God. It coincides with the seventh vial.
“And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.” (Rev 16:17 KJV)
The fact that the grapes are fully ripe shows that everyone has made their choice to follow Christ or the antichrist.
