First Resurrection

(Rev. 20:5-6 KJV) 5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

The first resurrection is the raising to life of all of Gods people throughout all time. It doesn’t take place at once.

Judgement

(Rev. 20:4 KJV) 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

A Seal Upon Him

(Rev. 20:3 KJV) 3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

Satan is cast into prison and the door is locked and sealed. The seal shows that he can’t open the door because it’s by God’s authority that he’s bound. He can’t deceive the nations until the end of the 1000 years.

A Thousand Years

(Rev. 20:2 KJV) 2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

The 1000 years is the millennium kingdom. Some believe the wording is figurative and just means a very long period of time.

The Bottomless Pit

(Rev. 20:1 KJV) And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

The angel with the key shows that God has the power and authority over Satan to bind him into a prison that He has prepared for him. The bottomless pit is the abyss where the evil spirits are held.

The Remnant

(Rev. 19:21 KJV) 21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

It seems that the battle is over as soon as it starts and there is no question who wins.

There are two trains of thought as to who the remnant are.
