A Voice

And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. (Rev. 19:5 KJV)

There are several views on the voice that came out of the throne. One possibility is it’s the voice of the glorified Christ speaking from his humanity. This would make sense because he uses the words “our God”. There is a time when the need of the son-ship (mediator) will end.

Fell Down and Worshipped

And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. (Rev. 19:4 KJV)

The 24 elders and the four beasts worship God in celebration of the victory over Babylon and the beast, and for avenging those that were martyred.

This parallels the scene in heaven before the Great Tribulation started.

Smoke Forever

And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever. (Rev. 19:3 KJV)

The saints continue to praise God for the destruction of Babylon. The smoke, or the results of her destruction, will continue into all eternity. This shows that Babylon receives a never-ending punishment for her blasphemy. Babylon will never rise again. This judgement is permanent.

Alleluia

“And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: 2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.” (Rev. 19:1-2 KJV)

The End Time

The Bible tells us a lot about the end times. It gets very confusing because it’s told in pieces and there is only one book in the New Testament devoted to the end times and there are a lot of different points of view on how to interpret it.

Let’s look at what the Bible says.

Blood

“And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.” (Rev. 18:24 KJV)

God has gotten vengeance on Babylon for His people. He has avenged the blood of those that were martyred and suffered persecution.

“And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?” (Rev. 6:10 KJV)
