The Book of Revelation 18:22-23

No More

22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;

23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. (Rev. 18:22-23 KJV)

The sounds of music and the joyful sounds of life won’t be heard any more in Babylon. Once God sends His judgement, normal everyday activities will cease. This is another way of saying the land will be desolate- just like Jeramiah foretold.

Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate. (Jer. 7:34 KJV)

The merchants and great men were deceived into believing their sinful lifestyles would continue on and there wouldn’t be any consequences for their sins. The beast used his sorceries to get nations to follow him.

13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. (Rev. 13:13-14 KJV)

Sorceries also implies drug use. It could be that the antichrist uses drugs to get the nations to follow him and to trick them into doing his will.
