The Depths of Satan
“But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.” (Rev 2:24 KJV)
Jesus makes a promise to those in Thyatira that have not fallen into the sins of the Church of Thyatira, the fornication and pagan worship of Jezebel, that He will not place on them the judgment that He promised upon those that followed Jezebel. The fact that the acts of Jezebel are related to Satan, the depths of Satan, shows where the sin originated. This shows that we should not follow a Church into sin. God expects us to refrain no matter what everyone else in the Church is doing.
