“15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne,”
(Rev 6:15-16a KJV)
The devastation on the earth is so bad that even the rich, powerful, and prominent rulers, as well as the common and poor, will seek to hide. These are the ungodly that are left behind. They will have no doubt that this is the wrath of God and that there is more to come.
The Wrath of the Lamb
“and from the wrath of the Lamb:” (Rev 6:16b KJV)
The wrath of the Lamb is synonymous with the wrath of God.
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;” (Rom 1:18 KJV)
“7 And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.” (Rev 15:7 KJV)
God’s faithful believers are not appointed unto wrath.
“9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.”
(1Th 5:9-10 KJV)
