Silence
“And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.” (Rev 8:1 KJV)
Chapter 8 turns from the scene in Heaven back to the events taking place on Earth as the 7th seal, which will bring in the 7 trumpets (judgments), is about to be opened. The seven trumpets will lead to the seven bowels. The next set of events are so catastrophic that all those in Heaven are silent in anticipation and horror of the coming judgments against sin. This will be a calm before the storm as God’s wrath will now be poured out full force upon the sinful world.
