The Fiery Mountain
“8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.”
(Rev 8:8-9 KJV)
There are several possibilities of what the great mountain burning with fire could be. One possibility is that it’s an asteroid or meteor. Another possibility is that it’s a volcano. Another possibility is some sort of nuclear devastation. I don’t really think it’s going to be something man-made. I would lean toward the idea of an asteroid, but that’s just speculation. It’s impossible to know for sure. One thing that is known is the devastation it will cause. One third of aquatic life and one third of the ships will be destroyed.
